Cell Phone Policy

Premier Austin (Wells Branch) has a No Cell Phone Usage Policy.

Cell phones may be used on school grounds before and after school. Cell phone use is prohibited in classrooms, restrooms, cafeteria and school offices, unless otherwise stated by a teacher to be used for instructional purposes. During the instructional day, cell phones must remain out of sight and in silent mode.

Cell phones are a big distraction in the school day. If students are caught using a cell phone without teacher permission, applicable fees will be applied. Please see the district Telecommunications/Electronic Device Policy below.

Parents, if you need to send a message to your child please contact the front office at 512-614-4537 and we will ensure your child receives your message.

“Many students are attached to their devices and due to social media messaging students become anxious and lose focus. While at school, we want to provide a clean break for students and not have the frenetic energy that can happen if kids start texting each other or certain social media messages are posted. This is not a complete ban from cell phones, but we want students to use their cell phones responsibly and as an instructional tool to help them academically.” says Mrs. Phillips, Campus Director of Premier High School Austin (Wells Branch)
