FAQ's

Is the parent/guardian and student required to attend orientation?
Yes, attending an orientation is required before acceptance to Premier High School.

What happens during the orientation process?
The orientation is a great opportunity to learn about the Premier Model and the expectations required from the family and the student in order to be successful at Premier High School (PHS) of Austin Wells Branch. For many students, traditional high school has not worked, so we want to ensure that they are successful at PHS.

How long are group orientations?
Group orientations traditionally take about 1.5 - 2.5 hours depending on the size of the group. After the presentation, the Campus Director will meet with each family individually to finalize any documents or answer any questions the family may have involving their child. One-on-one meetings will occur in order based on time of arrival on the sign-in sheet. If you are unable to attend a group orientation, please contact the front office to schedule an appointment.

What if I can't stay for the one-on-one meeting with Campus Director?
An orientation and one-on-one is required. If you are unable to stay, please see the front office staff and request an orientation for another day. The student will not be able to start school until an orientation has been completed with the Campus Director and approval to attend has been attained.

How long is a one-on-one orientation?
Individual orientations take approximately 45 min to an hour. There is a lot to cover during the orientation so it's important for families to take this into consideration when scheduling their appointment. Providing all documents ahead of time will speed up the process.

Does the parent/guardian need to attend?
Yes, it's important that everyone be involved in the enrollment process and there are documents that need to be completed and/or signed by both the student and parent/guardian.

My child is 18 or over, do I still need to attend the orientation?
Yes, even though your child is an adult student it is important for the parent/guardian to be involved in the education of their child. Although, your child is considered an adult student, we follow the same procedures as any student enrolling in a high school program.

What if my parent is unable to attend?
Enrollment to Premier High School is contingent upon attending an orientation which a parent or guardian is required to attend. For questions please contact the front office at 512-614-4537.

For additional questions, please contact the Campus Director, Veronica Phillips at [email protected]
